It’s a 1956 Chevy Bel air.   It was my daddy’s car and I inherited it when he died hence the license plate in front.  Technically it is still my mom’s (Donna White) as long as she is still alive  which I hope is a long time. She would be tickled to death if she made the calendar. It was in Lowrider magazine back in like 2004 I think it was. Not as a feature but a small picture because I used to take it out to those shows with a car club. But I couldn’t show her the picture back then because I had changed the rims out for Daytons for those shows. She would have taken it back if she had seen that. I did actually finally show her years later and luckily she didn’t kill me. Car shows were always mine and my daddy’s thing and I promised him I would still show it for him. Just ended up doing at lowrider shows where I could network with people wanting paint and not just the snooty shows he went to that would only need wax.

1987 Toyota Extended Cab SR5 4×4 This pickup was custom painted, using English Color exclusive line of paint and products! Greg Stone, the Project Painter, on TikTok has worked diligently on this full restoration for the last couple of months. He painted this truck live on TikTok!! The racing stripes are painted on NOT decals!! He tore this truck down and rebuilt it multiple times in order to paint, tape it off, lay it out, paint overlay the stripes, etc. This truck belonged to my late father. It was his daily driver and his favorite pick up! I bought it from my mother to memorialize and pay tribute to my daddy, John Franklin Stephens, Jr. I had two objectives: 1.) Memorialize my Dad’s life and pay tribute to him. 2.) Turn the heads of the Toyota community and win their hearts. I decided on a complete color change and use the Toyota Baja paint theme. I also decided to give it the 80’s look and chrome it out. I added a chrome vintage row bar with chrome KC lights, crown, front blinkers, chrome bumpers – front and back, chrome mirrors, and a personalized Custom WRAP on the tailgate memorializing my daddy‘s life and accomplishments! My daddy, at the age of 29 years old, was the Project Superintendent that built the iconic Golden Driller back in 1966. He was also the model for the Golden Driller! The Golden Driller stands 76 feet tall and the 6th largest free standing statue in the United States! The Golden Driller is also Oklahoma‘s state monument and is known around the world! It also sets in the heart of America’s mother road, U.S. Highway Route 66! The Golden Driller draws tourists from around the world that come to Tulsa, Oklahoma, just to see it and take pictures of it along with selfies! I’ve been busy getting the pickup ready for the Capital Cruise held in Tulsa Oklahoma this weekend!! (That’s why my submission to your contest is last minute and within the final hour of your deadline.) It was an honor to be an Official Driver in that parade that set a new Guinness World Record for the most classic cars in a parade in the world! Thank you for the opportunity to enter your contest! Best Regards from Oklahoma, Blake “Cowboy” Stephens ps unfortunately I could only submit one picture because of my high definition camera. I would’ve loved to include a picture ofthe wrap on the back of the truck, but there’s no way to get that done due to the limits that have been set for everyone.
